The ﬁrst set works with a big loop (the denomination is chosen for the purposes of this work with respect to the loop in the second set of experiments), the objective is to design transition rules that are able to develop a single replica of the loop in a given arrangement against the initial loop. In the second set, a simpler, small loop is treated, the goal is to ﬁnd replication rules for the development of two independent replicas in parallel on the left and right side of the initial loop. Note that the loops consist of cells in 7 diﬀerent states (including state 0).
